. Framework Manager is a metadata modeling tool that drives query generation for Cognos 8. A model is a collection of metadata that includes physical information and business information for one or more data sources. Cognos 8 enables performance management on normalized and denormalized relational data sources as well as a variety of OLAP data sources.

modeling concepts that you need to understand about modeling metadata
for use in business reporting and analysis .
