.User profiles contain portal tab and personal folder
content, as well as user preferences such as product language, the
preferred output format of reports, and the style used in the user
interface. The default user profile applies to all new users. You
may want to edit the default user profile for your users .
You can perform the following tasks on user profiles in Cognos 8:
deleting user profiles
copying user profiles
viewing or changing user profiles
Users can change their own preferences. For more information, see Personalize the Portal.
User entries are created in third-party authentication providers. For more information, see Users, Groups, and Roles.
