Manage Scheduled Activities

You can choose to view a list of scheduled entries. Each entry is listed by name, status, and priority. A bar chart shows you an overview of activities broken down by enabled and disabled schedules.

In Cognos Administration, the date and time the schedule was modified and the user who scheduled it are also listed.

You can filter the entries to display only those you want. You can choose to display only those entries with a specific status or priority, or entries of a specific type or scope.

In Cognos Administration, you can also filter by the user that scheduled the entry and by the entry owner.

You can set properties, run the schedule once, disable and enable scheduled entries, modify the schedule, remove the schedule, set the priority , and view the run history . Depending on the entry, you may also be able to perform other functions, such as view outputs or event lists.

Steps in Cognos Connection
  1. Start Cognos Connection.

  2. In the upper-right corner, click the my area button , and click My Activities and Schedules, Schedules.

  3. From the Filter menu, click the filtering items that you want to use and click Apply.

  4. Click Apply.

    The list shows the entries that you selected.

  5. To perform an action on an individual entry, click the arrow to the right of the entry and select the action. To perform an action on several entries, select the check box for the entries you want and then click one of the following buttons on the toolbar.

    Tip: To select all entries, click the check box in the upper left-hand corner, next to Name.

Steps in Cognos Administration
  1. Start Cognos Connection.

  2. In the upper-right corner, click Launch, Cognos Administration.

  3. Click the Status tab, and then click Schedules.

  4. From the Filter menu, click the filtering items that you want to use and click Apply.

  5. Click Apply.

    The list shows the entries that you selected.

  6. To perform an action on an individual entry, click the arrow to the right of the entry and select the action. To perform an action on several entries, select the check box for the entries you want and then click one of the following buttons on the toolbar.

    Tip: To select all entries, click the check box in the upper left-hand corner, next to Name.
